Temple hosts Israeli deputy consul general

In partnership with the Jewish Council of North Central Florida, Temple Shir Shalom recently hosted a talk by Paul Hirschon, Israel's deputy consul general for Florida and Puerto Rico. In addition to speaking about the unrest in Egypet that was just emerging during his visit, Mr. Hirschon's talk focused on the great success being achieved by the Israeli hi-tech industries. In attendance at the event was Gainesville's Mayor Craig Lowe.
