This recycling project brings together faith, communities, businesses, and not for profits because no one wants to put plastic bags in a landfill that will not disintegrate for hundreds and hundreds of years. Our thanks specifically go to Sara Nussel who created the idea for Alachua County, Wesley United Methodist Church donated pounds of plastic to our bench as well as to Oak Hammock who donated the Lien share of our plastic and Malgorzata‘s boutique. As a result of this event, Malgorzata is offering to try and organize plastic collection for Thornbrook Village! Who says an individual cannot make a difference??
